A Large majority of the businesses in the top 50 were businesses that provide a service to consumers that helps make their life a little easier. From fast food to get a quick bite to eat, to restaurants (no cooking involved on your part), to cleaning services and convenience stores. Why do you think that these businesses are in the top 50? Have people just become lazy, have people taken so much onto their plates that they do not have time to cook and clean, or is it just for pure convenience? Personally I think that society as a whole has bitten off more than they can chew. Family meals at the dinner table are a thing of the past. A cleaning lady used to be something that the upper class had now it seems like everyone has one. Everyone is constantly on the move and it seems like this trend may start to slow down with the unstable economy. Will these types of business be on the top 50 of next year’s list…we will have to wait and see?
Some of your classmates came up with a really cool plan! Please POST weekly...your POST should be related to the Chapter or Chapters we are working on that week. Then COMMENT once.

ReplyDeleteI agree, I would've thought McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks. Betcha it has to do with the whole Jared/Biggest Loser thing :)
