Here are some ideas for establishing safety meetings and committees and some of the items that should be included.
Some of the tasks of a safey committee include reviewing accident reports, investigating accidents, identifying and correcting hazards, and reviewing workplace accident and illness policies.

ReplyDeleteI've taken part in company safety meetings but never a part of the official committee. It's good that they lay out what needs to be done and how . . .
ReplyDeleteGreat post. It's criticle to maintain a safe workplace.
ReplyDeleteI am on my workplace safety committee and let me tell you what a job it truly is. I work for a non-profut that employs about 45 people and has done so for the past 35 years. Well in 35 years they have never had a formal safety plan! It took us over 9 months to develop a plan from scratch and we are still working on it, but the work we are doing is critical so in the end it will be well worth it. If anyone gets to take part in a safety committee or meeting it is a wonderful learning experience. It opens your eyes to thinsg that you may not have thought of or seen. Also employee feedback is super important as well, so if oyu have some information you want to share make sure you do so.
