Risk Management Through Disaster Planning

http://www.lama-online.org/chris.html
When I worked in Health Care, disaster planning was a huge part of our risk management and also a key element in our licensure process. I like this article because it gives a good overview of the plans a business should make and I think our book glossed over such planning (the safety issues were covered in three paragraphs) and focused more on insurance.

  1. Michele - interesting article. I had never thought much about disaster planning until I visited Mississippi to help clean up after Katrina. Wow - what a mess. We helped at numerous homes and businesses, none of which thought this would ever happen to them. The great majority of all affected parties were uninsured for that type of event or under-insured. Sobering.
